Statement from Prof. Caparco on Teaching

I really enjoy teaching and take pride in the effort I put into it. I have been consistently rated as approachable, clear, and available in all of my teaching assignments. During my time as a teaching assistant at Georgia Institute of Technology, I completed a Tech to Teaching certification, where I learned principles of course design, pedagogical techniques, and completed a teaching practicum. I seek out opportunities to hone my teaching abilities at every institution I’ve been to, and I’m so excited to be a professor in two departments at Northeastern University.

Here at Northeastern, I plan to develop courses in plant biotechnology, protein engineering, enzymology, and ethics in the chemical sector. If you are interested in the development of any of these courses, please email a.caparco@northeastern.edu to learn more.
